Seven specialists in healthcare logistics have established a new, GDP-compliant, pan-European network. Going by the name of Skandi Network, the cooperation initiative houses its HQ in Zaventem, Flanders. The aim is to connect the partner organizations through common standards while furthering the level of integration of international transport flows and local distribution networks. As such, Skandi Network is the first-ever European network for life science transports.

Parcel and groupage across Europe

The new network will offer parcel and groupage across Europe. At the heart of the system is a collaborative tool, the Collaborative Information Platform System, developed specifically for Skandi Network. This platform is capable of aggregating the data of the seven Skandi Network partners while providing real-time information to all parties involved in, for example, the status of shipments and the tracking of temperature curves.

The Skandi network also aims to contribute to decarbonizing transportation. Together, the network partners will conduct research into alternative drives and new cooling technologies.

More and more pharma companies look for first-class international transport and distribution solutions that comply with EU rules. Skandi Network combines the capabilities and know-how of leading specialists who all have extensive expertise in the temperature-controlled transport and distribution of life science products. We bring all this together in one European network for the mutual benefit of customers, patients, shippers, transport companies and the environment.
