ATS gives Flanders-based AI expert Yazzoom global reach
Canadian multinational ATS Corporation is acquiring Yazzoom, an AI tech company based in Ghent, Flanders. “By becoming part of ATS, we can serve customers globally,” comments Yazzoom CEO and founder Jan Verhasselt.
Better business processes
Founded in 2011, Flanders-based Yazzoom specializes in using AI software to enhance business processes, focusing on advanced data analysis. The company from Ghent has built a customer base across numerous sectors, from US chemical giant Chevron to Belgian materials group Umicore, French energy giant Engie and the Ghent-based branch of Finnish paper and cardboard producer Stora Enso.
Meanwhile, ATS Corporation is a global player specializing in enterprise automation solutions. Founded in 1978, the company employs 6,500+ people at more than 60 manufacturing facilities across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
Continuing growth
Following the acquisition, Yazzoom will be part of the Process Automation Solutions division of ATS, where it will focus on using data analytics to monitor and optimize manufacturing processes.

“We notice a lot of interest from large companies to partner with us, but they often also like to work with large partners,” says Verhasselt. “That was an important motivation for choosing ATS. Under their wings, we can serve our customers globally and continue to grow.”
